Getting Caught up on old WIP's

As the title implies I am working on some old WIP's that were set aside a while ago. I am also working on some new Easter stuff... such as this Novelty Easter Basket Hat.

These Mouse ears headband is a new item, this was not a WIP. So adorable yet so simple.

This Mouse Ears Poncho and Hat combo is a variation of my Mouse Ears Hooded poncho. It includes a very adorable pocket in the front for your little guy to carry his cars and other small toys.

Here is the Girl Mouse Ear Poncho and Hat Combo, the Hooded poncho will come shortly. This has scalops around the neck and the bottom of the poncho, and has a cute heart shaped pocket so your little girl can carry little toys or dolls.

This is an adorable Cookie Monster Hat and tank top combo.

Very Cute Cookie Monster Purse/bag/tote

This is an adorable Cookie Monster cup cozy.

Currently working on a Knit cowboy hat- I have to stick it in the was to felt it. I will have photos up after I shape it and it dries. I am also working on the last 2 character hats for Sesame Street to complete my collection.

Whew... finially finished- baby afghan

Well this afghan took me about 1 1/2 years to complete... i kept on putting it off... I had the entire afghan completed just not the border. So I decided to take a couple of days to do nothing else except complete this afghan. This is one of those things that I really don't have a baby to make for when I made it so it didn't have to be completed at a certain time. I have been recently informed that my sister and my cousin are both pregnant so I am hoping that one of them has a girl so I can pass it on LOL.

This afghan is knit with US 8 and the Pattern is from- Coats and Clark Article j.14 Book 1414 Red Heart Baby Blanket Boutique 8 Blankets to Crochet & knit (c) 1995 and it has cute crocheted baby ducks on the front cover

My first Felted Project

Well no one tells you that felting is so much fun as you never know exactly how it will turn out. Now I didn't have enough wool in these colors to make it bigger and I knew the hat would be on the small end. It is Newborn size.... and before I stuck it in the wash it was an XL adult hat LOL. The hat didn't felt completely but I am liking it with a little bit of stitch definition.

Seeing this was my first felted project I was unsure on the brim, but now that it has felted I know that I don't have to add as many stitches... but that is how you get better is learning from your mistakes. I think it is rather cute if I do say so myself.

The hat is made with K/6.5mm hook and working DC around.

The edges are a little fuzzier than I would care for but all in all It turned out rather well for the first try.

Whew... Finially Finished

Click photos so see a larger size.

Well I am happy to say i am 100% completed with this afghan, it just needs to be washed one last time before I wrap it. This afghan was made using I/9 Tunisian Hook, and the border with size H hook. This afghan measures 45X53".

You can find the graph at my pattern site in the top right hand corner of this blog.

This photo is a close up of the border I choose to do for this afghan, and it can be found in the book 20 Beautiful Edgings.

This is a photo of the backing- this was hand quilted on in a diagonal pattern.

This photo is a close up of the blanket stitch I used to sew the edge of the flannel to the crocheted afghan, and a close up of the quilting.
